Anthony Kelly Blake and Vincent Browning bring Vaclav Havel's 'Audience' and Harold Pinter's 'The New World Order' to the Exchange Space, Temple Bar, Dublin; for three nights only. Directed by award winning Brian Murray.
'Audience' is a comedy satire on power and those who wield it. A Playwright is forced to take a job in a brewery after offending Communist authorities and is offered the chance of a better job, if he agrees to be an informer, on himself.
'The New World Order' a tragic comedy sees two interrogators harass a man whom they condemn for his questioning of received ideas, and whom we know only as a threat to their closed vision of democracy.
Both pieces run consecutively.
(Two theatre pieces for the price of one, tis a recession after all ;-)
Shows run from 13th of the 15th of April, with two performances on Friday and Saturday at 7pm and 8.45pm. and one performance on Sunday at 8.45pm.
Price 10e and 8e for unwaged, students and retirees.
