Hi! I'm so happy to see your blog. My husband and I are thinking of moving to Ecuador...someday. We have been researching countries for our retirment..or maybe even sooner than that! I'm 34 and a mother of two boys. 11 and 3yrs. My husband is 38 and a firefighter. I work at the hospital doing ultrasounds. We hope to visit Ecuador in the near future. We had thought of getting a house and maybe opening a little bed and breakfast type place. NOt really sure yet..But it would be great to make a new friend here and have someone to see when we finally do go there! I see your on vacation in Oregon. Have a wonderful time! Hi Lori, I just found your blog and thought I'd say hi. I'm in a similar situation to where you were about a year ago (Bureaucracy in action)-- coming from Berkeley and heading to Vilcabamba -- and dealing with the SF Ecuadorian consulate and visa issues. It would be great to get in touch. I've got a few confusions about immigration stuff that you I thought you might be able to answer too, since our paths are kind of the same.
