I've lived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for most of my adult life till 5 years back when I migrated to Australia. I now live in a small country town on a farm with a vineyard which is totally the opposite of my lifestyle back home. It was a big change and it has taken all this while to adjust, accept and embrace life here but I am happy and life is good. I'd like to invite you to be a friend and share your own experiences and adventures.
Wow, Susan. Most Malaysians who migrate to Australia usually end up in cities, but this is the first time I heard about someone going to a countryside. You make it sound so idyllic! Perhaps I should do the same? I am making the move to Adelaide in a few years. Perhaps I should try my luck at Barossa Valley?

Hi Siew Yan life here is very different from Malaysia. No matter which country one goes to there will always be some cultural differences and of course lifestyles too. The cities here are pretty busy especially Sydney and Melbourne somewhat like KL. The thing I learnt was that if I were living in the big cities I would've adjusted much faster but living in a small country town is totally different. I guess one must want that way of life and be willing to accept changes and be open minded. If you've read my blog where I shared about country and lifestyle of change you'll understand what I am sharing. If you want to know more email me at jkhoo.net@gmail.com. All the best.
