Like many forty somethings in search of 'the good life' we bought a hovel with some land and this blog is a record of the goings on at chez moi...

Hi I moved out to France in July 07, after spending 14 years in the ambulance service. I was fed up with seeing illness and accidents and wanted to spend some quality time with my husband in the countryside surrounded by nature. We bought an old fermette which was built in 1882 with five acres of land for us and my ancient horse to live. We are still in the process of renovating it, it could take some time!!
