Personal views and experiences of time in Normandy, France. Having visited France two or three times a year for holidays, by 1990 I realized that I had rarely got beyond Normandy: distracted by places, people, events and just unexpected pleasures. So my partner and I bought a cheap (very cheap) primitive cottage about 40km from Mont St Michel. One room, small bedroom, cold water, loo a shed in the garden with a hole in the earth. Now nearly finished renovating it......
