Amusing stories about a young woman who moves to France to help her sister renovate her cottage. A personal and honest view of the feelings rollercoaster experienced when faced with the elements, solitude, the French and broken bones.

Came to France to satisfy a desire for peace and tranquility, plus I get to use my power tools on my sister's house here near Fougeres! I am writing my life story, which is turning out to be both a hoot and a test. I fill my days with constantly cutting endless amounts of logs, planning the build of the chicken coup and walking around with a heat pack on my back trying to keep the kidneys working. I am here with my two dogs, Chance and Bach. I rest of my life is back in the UK.
