If you move to Phuket you may want to take your kayak with you from Scotland. Most kayaks for sale in Phuket is sit-on-top kayaks for recreational use. A good kayak is hard to find here, usually it have to be ordered from Pattaya/Bangkok or be imported.
I am going to post on this blog once or twice a month, with photo's from trips in the Phuket area. It may give you some ideas for future kayak tours.
