        • Shawn,
The only part of Singapore I have seen was the airport. Also I do not know much about other places in the Philippines either.
I moved to Davao because this is where my fiancee lived. It is also one of the best and safest city, especially for foreigners in this country.
Life is good and bad in many ways. Culture is so different than the USA and many western countries. Visit my site for many articles about the good and the bad.

          • Hi there! I've heard a lot about the Far East from my friends at work...and by that I mean it definitely goes beyond the adjectives- exotic, sultry and tropical :)...the food and the weather definitely appear to be! When one of my aquaintances who just came back to town, from his place at Singapore just the other day found out that I've planned a trip to Singapore too...reacted in the funniest manner. He barged home and said- Get ready for a laugh riot this year at Singapore. Don’t be taken by surprise if you happen to spot a curious tag adorning a flowerpot by the roadside or an empty rack in a glittering store, with the words, “This item is not on sale. But just about everything else is at the Great Singapore Sale” written on it. The best one of the lot? The Merlion Park lion sporting the same tag to save itself from frenzied shoppers. lol :D

I couln't help but browse all the blogs circling in and around the Far-East...cos I plan to extend my stay and explore other destinations too...and here I came upon yours....How different are the places from each other anyway? They all look pretty in the and colourful in the pictures...I'm sure you're having a great life in Phillipines! Cheers! :D

              • Hey Davaobruce,
It was nice chatting with you and Jim. Enjoy your stay in pinas with your wife. I know pinas is not an immaculate place to live in but Im sure you see the brighter side of pinoy. You can judge by yourself just like in any other places there are nice and bad people, its just a matter of how we deal with them. Me too kinda forget that i came from here, I try to compare big cities in abroad to philippines (pinas) kind of sad but I realized, this is my home where i always wanted to be. Now I am back for good hopefully start a new business. I feel so happy and relaxed since I arrive last month. UK is great but its just too cold for me and its so fast there.

                All the best.

                Mel
