Going to a new country is always full of surprises. Everything is new and exciting-until things start to go wrong. If only you’d known… My blog is full of things you will be glad you knew; things to do, how to stay safe and healthy and what to do when things go wrong. Most of all, I hope my blog will get you excited about your trip to Nepal and when it’s all done, I hope it will have saved you money.

I've survived my first year here in Nepal and I can't see myself living anywhere else. I just love Nepal. I actually left the US thinking I was going to Africa, hence the name.
I came here from a marketing background. I took one look around and said, "Damn! These people need help!" So I decided to help market Nepal by writing a book that will help tourists vacation here more safely with a theme of saving money. Really, there are so many unknowns here and not much way of knowing what you don't know; it is really easy to waste money and time in so many ways.
I love to help people have a better time here. If you are planning on coming to Nepal please check out my web site at http://NepalOnaBudget.com to get more information about the book and purchase it. There is also information taken from the book on the site that will be very helpful even if you do not buy the book. Be sure to read the 3 valuable lists from the book. They will tell you what to bring, what to leave at home and what to do to prepare for your trip to Nepal. It will help to get your trip to Nepal off to a great start. It's taken over a full year to compile all the information for the book and is finally on the market as an e-book. It actually turned out better than I had hoped and I learned a lot about saving money here-253 pages.
I'm still learning ways to save money and incredible things to do here for practically no money. I hope you enjoy my blog. I often put a quick tip from the book or current research in each blog post. If you find them valuable then you will enjoy the book. My blog is a photographed article about life in Nepal and my adventures in and around the Kathmandu Valley.
I am really proud to introduce anyone to this unique place, Nepal. If you have any questions about getting here or life here please email me. Nepal is the kind of place where anything is possible.
No electricity, No fuel, No problem! I'm in Nepal! Did I mention that I love Nepal? You don't have to die to go to Heaven. Just come to Nepal; Heaven is right here.
