I have never lived outside the US, and I find myself in Tokyo with my family - husband and 3 boys. I am having shopping adventures, making language faux pas, doing family activities, and adjusting to life in the big city.

I have never lived out of the US before. I have never really lived outside my home state of Delaware before. And I find myself in Tokyo with my family, making my way and finding myself here in this big, big, exciting place. I have worked as a web site designer, writer, and graphic artist, but have been a stay at home mom for the past 12 years.
Good Evening,
I am considering taking a job in Sendai City. I live in Texas. I want to take my two dogs with me. Do you know anything about international travel via airlines to Japan for dogs? Are you familiar with Sendai? What type of housing might be available for someone with two large dogs?
Thanks for your help.

I am from Ireland and am moving to toykyo in September with my husband and two young boys. Do you have any recommendations on a good area to live in ? I have heard that Shibuya is nice and central, but I see that you can get nice houses in Setagaya. I really have no concept of the distances from one ward to another. My husband will be working in Bunyko-ku, and we are hoping that our older son will go to school in Shibuya. Any advice is most welcome !
