The title of my blog reflects the path that I have undertaken from Norway to South Africa to live with my Cape Townian husband. I aim to "put pen to paper" about how it is to start in a brand new place - with all the challenges and magical moments that follows.

I am a Norwegian national, suddenly uprooted last autumn (2011) to live in South Africa. I will be living here for the next three years.
At the moment, I am procuring jobs - but in the meanwhile I am a jack-of-all-trades, working part-time as an online Norwegian teacher as well as volunteering for various NGOs.
