I'm originally from a suburb between Chicago and Milwaukee and a few years ago I moved to Los Angeles. I packed everything in my car and drove to California in search of something new and exciting. I definitely found what I was looking for and more. I began to work production for music videos, television, and commercials and I really enjoyed working in Hollywood-- but I still felt something was missing. So in mid-December 2010 I decided to sell everything I owned and put what was left into one suitcase. I bought a ticket to Chicago to say goodbye to family and friends, then flew to Dublin for a few days, London for a few days and I finally ended up in Morocco. I am now living in Agadir and I am VERY happy here. I miss the States a little but I think I will live a happier life here in Maroc. If there are any Americans nearby, please feel free to write. Perhaps we could meet for some of that delicious Moroccan tea :)

                • Salam,
I'm very excited about your story. I am also an American interested in moving to Morocco. I have never shied away from picking up and moving everything I have to go some place new.
Can you tell me what some of the hardest things to adjust to are? What do you work as? I'm hoping to find a teaching job somewhere.
I look forward to hearing from you.
