I just wanted to comment on your meeting with the young guy who seemed anti - white. Remember that while everything in Ghana is new and exciting to you, to him scratching a living in Ghana is real life. He doesn't have the luxury of leaving after a couple of years. He has probably met a few volunteers in his life but has seen very little by the way of change from their presence. As a volunteer you are probably the only person who will benefit in the long run by your time in Ghana so I suggest you enjoy it and be grateful that there are still some people who want volunteers or other people will not have the same opportunity as you!
